Optimizing human and organizational potential, one impactful conversation at a time.

Welcome to Peak Coaching, Consulting & Counselling, where we are passionate about reshaping the interpersonal climate of the workplace as well as empowering people and organizations to reach their peak mental health. The comprehensive range of our services ensures that we remain agile, curious and flexible-qualities that are essential as we navigate the rapidly evolving trends and expectations brought about by the digital age.

What We Do

We are dedicated to helping individuals and businesses drive exceptional outcomes by providing coaching, consulting and/or counselling services that are strengths-based, trauma-informed, and gender-affirming while maintaining fidelity to cultural sensitivity. We address the full spectrum of mental health so that clients are able to shift from struggling or languishing to accessing growth mindset and truly flourishing as a result. We recognize that the post-pandemic era is a rare window in time where workplace mental health is now at the forefront of the minds of businesses and individuals. This also presents a golden opportunity to step outside of our comfort zones and challenge the status quo by embracing some of the challenges and nuances we collectively face as a result of having navigated the pandemic. What if the workplace becomes a source of inspiration and safety for the workforce and sends ripple effects out to families, communities and society at large? Our vision is a reimagined workplace that is psychologically safe, energizing, and inclusive for all so that each individual is celebrated for the strengths and talents they uniquely bring to the table, and can therefore show up as their best selves at work everyday.

In the spirit of helping organizations and businesses optimize their bottom line by recognizing the unique strengths each employee brings to the table and taking care of their employees’ mental wellbeing, here are a few areas where we can support organizations:

  • Provide psychoeducation about common mental health conditions in the workplace and ways to recognize signs of struggles in employees, including unrecognized signs of mental health struggles.

  • Assess psychosocial hazards and risks in the workplace in accordance with the ISO 45003 and design strategies to mitigate and manage them/.

  • Conduct training on mental health first aid at the workplace.

  • Make recommendations on ways to put in processes, practices and micro-strategies that facilitate mental wellbeing and psychological safety in workplaces.

  • Celebrate and leverage on diversity: Helping businesses optimize employee engagement by having processes and practices in place that facilitate the optimal performance of employees by catering to their individual differences such as extroversion vs introversion, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ and addressing the unique needs that are associated with these differences.

Why We Do It

We are driven by a desire to uplift, empower and inspire individuals and organizations with a vision that psychologically safe, inclusive and energizing workplaces are created and employees are able to show up as their best selves at work.  As organizations navigate the rapidly evolving post-pandemic landscape, prioritizing workplace mental health is becoming more critical than ever for the well-being and success of both employees, employers and the organization as a whole.  The digital age, particularly with the advent of AI, results in an rapidly changing world that requires us to be agile, dynamic and emotionally intelligent in order to truly thrive in this highly dynamic, complex and ever changing environment.

Employers are becoming more committed to creating work environments that promote open dialogues, support work-life harmony, and encourage employees to prioritize their well-being. These shifts in mindset and priorities make it possible for the workforce to refuel themselves in a sustainable manner which, in turn, prevents burnout.  Increasing evidence is confirming that focusing on psychological health and safety in the workplace is not only about being nice, but also makes good business sense and pays significant dividends down the road.  Employees that feel psychologically safe function more effectively within their teams and are more innovative, collaborative and resilient, which, in turn, delivers better performance and results in improved bottom line. This creates a ripple effect to other areas of individuals’ lives including their families, communities and, eventually, society as a whole.

Meet our team

  • Rachel Ng, Founder, Organizational Coach, Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.), Mental Health Consultant

Equipped with a background in clinical psychology and ongoing training in organizational coaching, I am passionate about working with clients and their families as they navigate mental health challenges, acting as their therapist, advocate and/or consultant in order to serve them in an impactful way. I am committed to meeting the diverse therapeutic and coaching needs of individuals and organizations while ensuring my practice is trauma-informed, gender-affirming and culturally sensitive. My services are available in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

After two decades of cross-cultural clinical experience in the mental health field in the role of clinical psychologist in Hong Kong and subsequently mental health clinician in Vancouver, I have encountered time and again clients who have completed treatment for their mental health concerns, yet are stuck in the languishing state in spite of the fact that they clearly show potential for further growth and greater excellence.

Driven by a desire to serve my clients more powerfully, I have added solution-focused coaching to my competency in the last few years which has allowed me to guide my clients along further on the mental health continuum . As workplace mental health becomes a priority in organizations across the globe in the post-pandemic world, I am noticing the immense impact that psychological safety has on the overall productivity and ultimate success of organizations. I therefore decided to embark on a new journey to be trained as an Organizational Coach and am excited to add this to my offerings, and to be able to serve individuals and organizations in a more powerful way in the near future!
